This unique take on a history atlas, connects a huge number of beautifully made maps together into a framework that can be navigated chronologically. It allows users to see where specific history topics were happening, so they are not considered in isolation, but as an intricate mesh of events and circumstances. This TimeMap connects the dots. It lets you see the whole story of an area before and after its more mainstream chapters. It lets you appease your appetite to know what else was happening in the world when looking at a specific time period.
Set on 3 zoom levels, you can watch the ancient world develop into todays world either as a general overview, or on a particular continent. The final zoom level takes a close inspection of particular themes and historical chapters that ‘fill in the gaps’ to the big picture. This layer is coming soon via an upgrade.
